(1) It is a general stimulant to the system, but especially to the urinary organs, and is chiefly used in kidney and liver disorders;

(2) Dandelion is also used as a remedy for hemorrhoids, gout, rheumatism, eczema, other skin conditions, and diabetes.

(3) Dandelion is used to treat chronic ulcers, stiff joints, and tuberculosis. It is also used to induce milk production in nursing mothers and to soothe inflamed breast tissue.

Comparto con ustedes apartes del prólogo que redactó Julio Paredes Castro para la edición que uso de Tierra de Promisión, pues ofrece datos valiosos y bien escritos:
Título de reminiscencias bíblicas, Tierra de promisión es
un canto a la íntima relación del poeta con el paisaje. Resultado
de un tema poético que trabajaba desde muy joven, José
Eustasio Rivera ilustró en este libro la identificación de su
palabra con una naturaleza autóctona, cuyos rasgos podrían
hacer pensar también en un territorio primordial más allá del
tiempo, y donde su mirada vital de testigo de excepción se
cruzaba con los elementos esenciales de ese mundo tropical,
dividido en las tres inmensas zonas del paisaje americano: la
selva, o también el bosque tropical, las montañas y las llanuras.
Enmarcado, por lo demás, en el escenario de la tierra
caliente, Tierra de promisión es también la recreación nostálgica
de la geografía y los territorios afectivos de la infancia y
la primera juventud del poeta en el recién fundado departamento
del Huila. Dictados por el ensueño de un protagonista
anónimo, que se presenta al inicio del libro como “un grávido río”, clara analogía con el gran río Magdalena, estos sonetos responden a las tensiones y los ritmos internos de la voz de un hombre que se busca a sí
mismo entre las luces, los silencios, y las resonancias de una flora y una fauna a las que, a su vez, busca para darles un nombre nuevo.
Con una primera edición en 1921 por la Casa Arboleda y Valencia
en Bogotá, Tierra de promisión tuvo cuatro ediciones en vida
de José Eustasio Rivera, dos más en 1921 y una última en 1926, por
Editorial Minerva en Bogotá, donde se incluyeron numerosos cambios hechos por el mismo autor en algunos de los sonetos y es la base de la presente edición.

The attraction can be to the physical or other qualities or traits of a person, or to such qualities in the context in which they appear. The attraction may be to a person’s aesthetics or movements or to their voice or smell, besides other factors. The attraction may be enhanced by a person’s adornments, clothing, perfume or style. It can also be influenced by individual genetic,psychological, or cultural factors, or to other, more amorphous qualities of the person.
