[What is Curcuma Longa?]
Turmeric is an herbaceous plant known scientifically as Curcuma longa. It belongs to the Zingiberaceae family, which includes ginger. Tumeric has rhizomes rather than true roots, which are the primary source of commercial value for this plant. Tumeric originates from southwest India, where it has been a stable of Siddha medicine for thousands of years. It is also a common spice in Indian cuisine and is often used as flavoring for Asian mustards.

In this video I tried an experiment to colour my hair using pomegranate natural juice.
Main items:
2 large pomegranate
gloves
conditioner
Result:
There was a little colour visible on the hair following the experiment. This lasted until 3 washes (three weeks) and then it was completely gone. There was no staining on the fingers whilst styling hair during these three weeks.
What I would do differently:
I would not use conditioner. Pomegranate appears to be very nourishing on the hair, so I would eliminate that part. I noticed that section of my hair was softer than the rest of the hair.
I would also use a hair dryer for at at least 30 minutes to set the colour deeper.
If I can find it in the market, I will also add natural red beet juice to the mix, this also has staining power.
