[What is Pine bark?]

Pine bark, botanical name Pinus pinaster, is a maritime pine native to southwest France that also grows in countries along the western Mediterranean.  Pine bark contains a number of beneficial compounds that are extracted from the bark in a way that doesn’t destroy or damage the tree.

[How does it work?]

What gives pine bark extract its notoriety as a powerful ingredient and super antioxidant is that it’s loaded with oligomeric proanthocyanidin compounds, OPCs for short. The same ingredient can be found in grape seeds, the skin of peanuts and witch hazel bark. But what makes this miracle ingredient so amazing?

While OPCs found in this extract are mostly known for their antioxidant-producing benefits, these amazing compounds exude antibacterial, antiviral, anticarcinogenic, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. Recipe – Blueberry Monkey Bread
INGREDIENTS:
●4 (10 ounce) cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough
●1 1/4 cups frozen blueberries, dry pack
●2/3 cup white sugar
●10 tablespoons margarine
●1 teaspoon vanilla extract
●1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
●1 cup frozen blueberries, dry pack

1 bunch Parsley
1 tablespoon Capers (drained)
2 Anchovy Fillets
1 tablespoon White Wine Vinegar
1/4 cup Toasted Pumpkin Seed Oil
1/2 cup Grapeseed Oil
pinch Chili Powder or Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Salt and Pepper to taste

Roughly chop the parsley and discard the stems. Roughly chop the capers and anchovy fillets. Place chopped ingredients in a bowl and add the vinegar, oils, chili, salt and pepper. Stir, and serve over your favorite dish. (flavors will deepen if you let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes)
