[What is St. John's wort]

St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) has a history of use as a medicine dating back to ancient Greece, where it was used for a range of illnesses, including various nervous disorders. UPDATE::: Currently halted GSE as we have found studies indicating that a preservative in the GSE is the ingredient with the antimicrobial properties (which has toxicity issues) and not the GSE. However, other studies test for toxicity and have found none, and there is debate over the actual compound in question. I am leaning toward cutting it completely….still reading though. Input is welcome!
