This time our feature ingredient at Holstein’s Kitchen is: TURMERIC. These Pancakes baked by Katheryne Catchutt @kabalance are a healthy treat with a superfood sunshine glow, we can’t leave behind they are also gluten-free and oil-free. 

We didn’t go halfway with any of the flavors in these Turmeric Pancakes. The pancakes contain a strong spicy indian herb that enhances the color as well as the flavor of the food in a tremendous way! Maybe this sounds weird but you should give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Turmeric is a powerful spice with impressive benefits for your health. It’s known as “the anti-inflammatory queen”. We often associate turmeric with curry recipes but it can be added to so many other dishes, you wouldn’t imagine! 

These Turmeric Pancakes are so quick and simple to make in our Holstein Brownie Maker they’ll be ready before your morning coffee. Drizzle them with maple syrup, honey or top them with fresh fruit and voila!

Ingredients:

-1 egg
-1/3 cup of egg whites
-½ cup of rolled oats
-1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal
-1 tablespoon of turmeric
-1 teaspoon of cinnamon
-1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
-1 teaspoon of baking soda
-¼ cup of unsweetened Cashew milk
-Stevia to taste

Method:

- Mix all the ingredients in the processor or blender
- Coat the surface of the Brownie maker with Coconut oil spray
- Pour the mixture into the brownie shaped cavities, close the lid, and bake
- Serve and enjoy!
