[What is 5-HTP]

5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) is a chemical by-product of the protein building block L-tryptophan. It is also produced commercially from the seeds of an African plant known as Griffonia simplicifolia 5-HTP is used for sleep disorders such as insomnia, depression, anxiety, migraine and tension-type headaches, fibromyalgia, obesity, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), seizure disorder, and Parkinson’s disease.

5-HTP31 5-HTP41

 [How does it work?]

5-HTP works in the brain and central nervous system by increasing the production of the chemical serotonin. Serotonin can affect sleep, appetite, temperature, sexual behavior, and pain sensation. Since 5-HTP increases the synthesis of serotonin, it is used for several diseases where serotonin is believed to play an important role including depression, insomnia, obesity, and many other conditions.

[Function]

Depression. Some clinical research shows that taking 5-HTP by mouth improve symptoms of depression in some people. Some clinical research shows that taking 5-HTP by mouth might be as beneficial as certain prescription antidepressant drugs for improving depression symptoms. In most studies, 150-800 mg daily of 5-HTP was taken. In some cases, higher doses have been used.

Down syndrome. Some research shows that giving 5-HTP to infants with Down syndrome might improve muscle and activity. Other research shows that it does not improve muscle or development when taken from infancy until 3-4 years of age. Research also shows that taking 5-HTP along with conventional prescription drugs does improve development, social skills, or language skills.

Anxiety 5-HTP was found to be protective against carbon dioxide-induced panic attacks. One study compared 5-HTP and the prescription medication clomipramine for anxiety. Clomipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant used for treating obsessive-compulsive disorder. 5-HTP was found to be somewhat effective in reducing anxiety symptoms, but not as effective as clomipramine.

Sleep 5-HTP supplements fared a little better for insomnia.5-HTP decreased the time required to get to sleep and decreased the number of nighttime awakenings. Taking 5-HTP along with GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a relaxing neurotransmitter, reduced the time it took to fall asleep and increased the duration and quality of sleep. One study found that children with night terrors benefited from 5-HTP.

  • Does tribulus work? It’s useful for some things, and useless for others. Click to learn more!

    Our full tribulus review: https://www.ultimatefatburner.com/bodybuilding/tribulus-review.html

    Subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/UltimateFatBurner

Today we’re going to talk about tribulus – also known as Puncture Vine, Devil’s Weed or Tribulus terrestris – we’re gonna ask does Tribulus work, should you buy it, what should you expect from it, and so on.

Those are all good questions and I’m going to answer them in just a few seconds, but before I do let me tell you something really quickly…

Tribulus is worthwhile for some things, and absolutely useless for others.

Alright, so let’s talk about tribulus. What is it?

It’s flowering perennial plant that’s been used for 100’s of years in traditional Indian holistic medicine.

It is commonly advertised as one of two things…

As a natural testosterone booster and booster of athletic performance.

Or as libido booster, aphrodisiac, male sexual enhancement product or a natural cure for ED or erectile dysfunction.

In either case, tribulus may be just one part of a product formula, or it may be sold on its own.

    So the $10000 question is?

Does tribulus does work for either one of these things?

Let’s start with the first claim – that it’s a powerful testosterone suppelement, that will help you make gains in the gym.

You’ve probably read stuff or maybe even seen guys here YouTube talking about how it works by stimulates luteinizing hormone in this compels the body to make more testosterone naturally and blah blah blah.

This sounds great – it’s very scientific sounding and very clinical.
    But it’s also total BS.

There big problem – a real big problem – with tribulus when it comes to the testosterone boosting claims and it’s this…

There have a number of been clinical studies done on tribulus specifically for its testosterine boosting effects…

And they have all been completely clear.

Tribulus does not increase testosterone production, it does produce any significant changes in athletic performance – lean body mass, muscle strength – however you want to measure it.

Now don’t shoot the messenger here, only reporting what the science cents and I invite you to check the description in the video below and follow the link to our full review, where you can find links to the clinical studies so you see that tribulus does not work to build muscle.

Now if you happen to like this supplement hang in there for me because I can explain some this…

As I mentioned tribulus is also marketed as a natural male enhancement products and natural cure for erectile dysfunction.

Now there’s not a ton of study data to confirm this – there’s some animal data and a small study that was performed on a product that contained tribulus as part of its formula – there is a TON of anecdotal evidence – and by anecdotal I just mean testimonials, and reports from users of the supplement – that suggests tribulus works really well for this.

I personally know a lot of guys who take tribulus because they like the libido-boosting effect, and they mistakenly attribute this effect to a boost in testosterone levels.

The thing is, having a higher libido and more frequent and more intense erections is great, but it doesn’t necessarily mean your body is making more testosterone.

Think about the drug Viagra for example. It works by blocking a particular enzyme, that results in the relaxation of the arteries in the penis and increases blood flow.

It has nothing to do with test levels.

So to answer the question, “Does Tribulus work?”..

    Well, here’s the bottom line…

It’s an absolute total dud as a natural test booster and booster of athletic performance.

As a natural male enhancement product or a natural cure for ED, it’s worth a try, not because of a ton of supporting clinical evidence – there’s not much of that – but because of the mounds of anecdotal evidence and its relatively low price and long safety record.

If you want to try tribulus, the good news is that you don’t need to spend a lot of money – I’ll include a couple of links to products for you to check out in the description of this video.

Don’t get sucked into spending 50, 60, 70 dollars for male enhancement products that might contain a couple of milligrams tribulus as part of its formula. Save yourself some money and try it on its own.

And, if you’ve tried tribulus, I’d really appreciate it if you would share your feedback below – I know both I and our viewers will really appreciate it! If you haven’t done so, I also invite you to subscribe to this channel, it would really help me out, and you’ll be updated when we post new, No-BS reviews.

In 2009 the US FDA approved two versions of a new sweetener developed for Coca-Cola and Pepsi, Truvia and PureVia, both of which use rebiana—an extract from the South American plant Stevia. Truvia has just hit the market in Great Britain supported by gigantic public relations celebrations that would do an aspiring politician proud. Stevia, in its natural state, is the best no-calorie health-supporting natural sweetener on the planet. Here is what you should know:

    1. Truvia is NOT Stevia.
    2. I advise that you avoid it.

Like every plant which has long been used as a food source, Stevia is a complex of synergistic substances and compounds including numerous steviosides, rebaudiosides, and glycosides. It is this synergistic power that creates its unique benefits including its anti-oxidant properties. When the FDA declared that these two manufactured zero-calorie sweeteners were “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) it referred only to a couple of the active ingredients taken from Stevia that had been used in manufacturing including rebaudioside A—a component which imparts to the natural Stevia plant some of its sweet taste.

What takes place when you extract only one or two of a plant’s parts and throw away the rest? Does the product you make out of this affect your body the same way as the natural plant? Virtually never. In The Toxicology of Rebaudioside A: A Review, researchers at UCLA report that a living organism metabolizes stevioside compounds and rebaudioside A at different rates. This makes it impossible to assess the potential risks to the body.

The company behind the development of both Truvia and PureVia is Cargill. Cargill is one of the most notorious corporate polluters in America (which Conde Nast Portfolio listed as one of the “Toxic Ten.”) Coke and Cargill have conducted their own ‘research’ into the safety of Truvia on which the FDA gave them the go ahead to sell the sweetener. However, no genuinely independent studies have been done to affirm the safety of the product.

And as even the Truvia website itself states: “While rebiana is natural and comes from a plant, it is not certified or grown organically at this time. That could happen in the future, depending on consumer demand.” How absurd. How can you claim to have invented an “all-natural” zero-cal sweetener that is not only not organically grown but which no genuinely independent studies have shown to be safe to use over time?

We have been looking for a professional and responsible supplier, and now we find it.
