[What is Tribulus terrestris?]

Tribulus terrestris is a vine that has been used as a general tonic (energy) and herbal treatment for impotence, but is found primarily in dietary supplements marketed for increasing testosterone levels in bodybuilders and power athletes. The idea behind tribulus is that it may increase testosterone levels indirectly by raising blood levels of another hormone, luteinizing hormone.

Ravi (Ravi Teja) works as a collection agent of ICICI in Bangalore and leads a happy life along with his friends and his father Mohan Rao (Prakash Raj) who wishes to see Ravi married to a girl soon. Crazy Mohan’s plans and attempts always go in vain before him. As a part of their cunning plans, Crazy Mohan advises Shruti to ask Ravi to marry her. As fate would have it, Ravi also comes with a marriage proposal to Shruti. Then the pair approach Mohan Rao and tell him that Ravi is in love with Shruti and that he proposed to her.

Pumpkin Vendhaya Kulambu
INGREDIENTS
Yellow Pumpkin (Diced) – 200 gms
Onion (Diced) – 1
Tomato (Diced) – 1
Garlic – 5 Flakes
Fenugreek – 2 Tsps
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp
Thuar Dhal Cooked – 2 1/2 Tblsp
Tamarind Paste – 1 Tsp
Salt – As Required
Red Chillies – 2
Green Chillies – 1
Sesame Oil – 1 Tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 Tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 Tsp
Curry Leaves – 1 Spring
Asafoetida – 2 Pinches

METHOD
1. Dice pumpkin. Cook in diluted tamarind extract.
2. Cook thuar dhal in pressure cooker with turmeric powder in a container.
3. Place another container on top and keep fenugreek, garlic, red and green chillies, onion, tomato and enough water. Cook for 4 whistles.
4. Mash fenugreek along with cooked onion, tomato using a pestle.
5. Add to cooked pumpkin along with salt, mashed thuar dhal.
6. Boil till thick. Heat sesame oil, add seasonings, allow to sprinkle and pour over Kulambu. Serve with cooked rice.
