Stevia sugar features high sweetness and low calorie and its sweetness is 200 350  times of that  of cane sugar but its calorie is only 1/300 of that of cane sugar.

The component of stevia extract that gives it its sweetness is a mixture of various steviol glycosides. The components of sweetness in stevia leaves are stevioside, rebaudioside A, C, D, E and dulcoside A. Rebaudioside C, D, E and dulcoside A are small in quantity. The principal components are stevioside and rebaudioside A.

The quality of stevioside and rebaudiosideA is better than those of other components, which are commercially extracted and used in various applications.

The steviol glycosides present in stevia extract are referred to as “steviosides” or ¡°stevia extract¡±. Among these “steviosides”, the most common is Stevioside followed by RebaudiosideA. The Stevioside has a slight and pleasant herbal taste and the Rebaudioside-A has no herbal taste.

Although Rebaudioside C and dulcoside A are small in quantity in stevia extract, they are the major components giving bitter aftertaste.

5Trust me, this is a real review.

I didn’t get anything for free here, and I usually don’t write reviews unless I am mad or super impressed. Thus, it’s a big deal that I want to tell you about my experience.

I’m a female, almost 50, and have always been slim. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been battling hypothyroidism and hormonal changes that seem to have slowed my metabolism. A doc also put me on a medicine (I’m no longer taking) that is notorious for causing weight gain by reportedly slowing your metabolism AND increasing your appetite by leaps and bounds. In a year, I gained 10 pounds. Now, to some of you, that might not be much–but I have a tiny frame, and every extra bit shows. I went up a clothing size, and nothing in my closet fit anymore. I felt awful and self-conscious.

It’s been a while since I thought about dieting…the last time was when I was in college, fighting the freshman 15. What worked for me back then (30 years ago!) was good old Dexatrim. The formulation has since changed dramatically, and the stimulant element that helped so much has been removed. (Trust me, I tried the NEW formulation, along with about 10 other “natural” appetite suppressant/fat burner options). Ephedra, the ingredient that helped (and also gave me jitters!) is banned. Nothing took away my constant desire to snack…which, when ignored after days of calorie restriction, would result in a big pig-out fest that destroyed any progress I’d made.

It seems that Thermo-Blend is as effective as the old-fashioned Dexatrim that worked for me…without the jitters I experienced with that old standby. I not only haven’t thought about food all day–and have eaten very moderately…I’ve enjoyed two cups of coffee and a Diet Coke! No jitters here.

I’m also exercising moderately…it’s essential for keeping muscle mass when restricting calories.

This product contains bitter orange, which seems to have a less-harmful yet stimulating effect like my old Dexatrim. I did some serious reading before I finally settled on this product, and for once I didn’t feel like all of the great reviews are fakes–that’s what inspired me to purchase. (This unfortunately seems to be a rampant problem for some products.) I’m excited to see what my progress will be in a couple of weeks. I’m so relieved that I’ll be back in my wardrobe soon.

In the grand scheme of things, I know that 10 pounds is not that big of a deal…but it matters to me, so this is pretty cool.

There are many herbal teas that have a good medicinal use and which are beneficial in a host of disorders. Make Your Own Tea

Leaves or flowers are used for teas. Unless special instructions come with the tea, use the following directions:

1. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.

2. Add 1 teaspoon of the leaves, or ½ teaspoon of powder.

3. Cover and set off the fire to steep for 15 to 30 minutes.

4. Strain and drink fresh for most teas. Some can be stored. Most can be made once in the morning for the whole day.

Clear teas may be taken between meals, as can water. It is not wise to drink generously of either water or tea while very hot and thirsty. Take only 3-4 ounces at first until you are cooled, so that the stomach will not cramp. Do not lie down after eating for 1-2 hours, if possible; but one may lie down within a few minutes after drinking clear tea or water.

Make Your Own Decoction

Roots, stems, berries, and bark are used for decoctions.

1. Get the material finely divided such as in a powder or chopped (this can be done with a blender).

2. Use one heaping tablespoonful of the herb for medicinal tea in one quart of water.

3. Simmer gently for 5-25 minutes. Do not overcook. Strain. Cool and drink, or store in the refrigerator.

Make an Extract Using Vinegar or Alcohol

1. Use any commercial vinegar or grain alcohol. For external use only, you may use ordinary rubbing alcohol.

2. Mix one ounce of the herb with one pint of the extracting solution.

3. Swirl once or twice a day for 2 to 3 weeks, at which time the extract will have reached its full potency.

4. Strain and squeeze out all the fluid possible.

5. If using alcohol, mix with sufficient water to make a 30% solution. If you must use a beverage alcohol, remember that 60 proof is 30%, or half the proof.

Flaxseed: Ground into powder: Helpful for treating constipation. Highest known plant source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are anti-inflammatory, lower cholesterol, and are beneficial for the heart and blood vessels (usually used as the oil for these indications).

Ginkgo leaves: Blood vessel vasodilator, possible memory stimulant.

Goldenseal: Apply externally for fever blisters, sores (including canker sores) in mouth, inflammatory bowel disease, infections (herbal antibiotic).

Hawthorn berry: Heart stimulant, angina, very mild sedative, high blood pressure.

Hops: Sedative, anxiety, poultices on abdomen for inflamed bowel or skin or soft tissue abscesses; poultice may be combined with charcoal.

Red clover: General tonic/cleanser.

Saw palmetto berry: Prostatic enlargement or inflammation; chronic prostatitis.

Tea tree oil: Externally only: Skin infections, cleanser, anti-fungal.

Wild yam: Anti-inflammatory, internally and externally; PMS; menopause.
