Brief Introduction

Astaxanthin is a natural nutritional component, it can be found as a food supplement. The supplement is intended for human, animal, and aquaculture consumption.

Astaxanthin is a carotenoid. It belongs to a larger class of phytochemicals known as terpenes, which are built from five carbon precursors; isopentenyl diphosphate and dimethylallyl diphosphate . Astaxanthin is classified as a xanthophyll (originally derived from a word meaning “yellow leaves” since yellow plant leaf pigments were the first recognized of the xanthophyll family of carotenoids), but currently employed to describe carotenoid compounds that have oxygen-containing moities, hydroxyl or ketone , such as zeaxanthin and canthaxanthin. Indeed, astaxanthin is a metabolite of zeaxanthin and/or canthaxanthin, containing both hydroxyl and ketone functional groups. Like many carotenoids, astaxanthin is a colorful, lipid-soluble pigment. This colour is due to the extended chain of conjugated (alternating double and single) double bonds at the centre of the compound. This chain of conjugated double bonds is also responsible for the antioxidant function of astaxanthin (as well as other carotenoids) as it results in a region of decentralized electrons that can be donated to reduce a reactive oxidizing molecule.

Function:

1.Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant and may protect against oxidative damage to body tissues.

2.Astaxanthin can improve the immune response by increasing the number of antibody producing cells.

3.Astaxanthin is a potential candidate to treat neurodegenerative disease such as Alzhimer and Parkinson diease.

4.Astaxanthin dan reduce UVA-light damage to skin such as sunburn, inflammation, ageing and skin cancer.

1.When applied in pharmaceutical field, astaxanthin powder has the good function of antineoplastic;

Varicose veins are ugly, swollen and twisted veins that can be seen just below the surface of the skin. They commonly appear in the legs and can cause pain, swelling, blood clots, sores on the skin and ulcers.

As the arteries transmit blood from the heart to the rest of the body, the veins return blood from the rest of the body to the heart. The veins have unidirectional valves that push blood toward the heart. If the valves are weak or damaged, then the blood can be backed up and stored in the veins causing the veins to bulge, leading to the formation of varicose veins.

Some common causes of varicose veins include age progression, obesity, overweight problems, pregnancy, prolonged or sitting position. The problem of varicose veins can be easily treated with home remedies, combining them with some healthy lifestyle changes and daily workouts to lose fat, control body weight, prevent obesity and stay active.

    Take natural supplements

The best and only proven way to strengthen your veins is with natural supplements. Some specific herbs and fruit extracts have been shown to safely treat and prevent varicose veins. Read this page to learn more about what supplements can help you get rid of varicose veins naturally.

    Cayenne pepper
Cayenne pepper is rich in vitamin C and flavonoids. They protect the walls of blood vessels from free radicals and promote the formation of collagen to keep them healthy and elastic. But the most potent substance in cayenne pepper is capsaicin, which has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anticoagulant properties.

Cayenne pepper powder can be taken orally to reduce pain and inflammation due to varicose veins. It can prevent blood clots and ulcers. Start with smaller doses of half a teaspoon cayenne pepper powder in a cup of water and gradually increase to 1 tablespoon. Even the mere topical application of capsaicin or cayenne pepper extract can increase blood circulation and bring relief to tired and sore legs.

    Witch hazel
This native American herbal remedy has been useful for many people with varicose veins. The tannins in the extract give it excellent astringent property, which helps in constricting distended veins and restoring its natural elastic nature. Hamamelis has excellent anti-inflammatory properties as well.

Although some herbalists recommend oral intake, using the infusion of witch hazel as a warm compress is enough to relieve the pain and swelling resulting from congestion in the varicose veins. In addition to reducing edema, it can relieve itching and pain.

    Bilberry Extract

Blueberries have been used throughout Europe for centuries to treat various diseases ranging from typhoid fever to kidney stones and is an incredible food for improvement of eyesight that improves night vision, slow down macular degeneration, prevent cataracts and retinopathy Diabetic.

The potent anthocyanid antioxidants found in blueberries strengthen the capillary walls, stabilize collagen tissues such as tendons, ligaments and cartilage and relieve the pain associated with varicose veins. You can add cranberry extract to your tea and consume it or eat fresh or frozen blueberries as much as you like.

    Parsley

Parsley is an extremely popular cooking herb that is used to add flavor to various dishes. But it is also an effective herbal ingredient rich in vitamin C that boosts the creation of collagen and aids in cell repair and regeneration. It is also an incredible food that helps boost immune power. h

    Butcher’s broom

Butcher’s Boom or Ruscus aculeatus is another home treatment for varicose veins that is helpful in rapidly easing the pain and discomfort of varicose veins. This yellow flower shrub is well known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-elastase properties that help constrict the veins and tone them. The composite uscogenins present in the butcher’s broom help reduce inflammation of the veins.

    Pine bark

Pine bark or Proanthocyanidin is the bark of evergreen pine. Pine bark is a rich source of antioxidant and bioflavonoid chemicals known as oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes (OPCs) that help improve collagen and reduce capillary leakage, helping to control inflammation.

This video shows how to remove Himalayan balsam late in the season where it has been allowed to set seed. Himalayan balsam, a weed, is popular with bee keepers due to its high nectar content and late season flowering. However, research has shown it to negatively impact on native invertebrate abundance. The British Beekeepers Association advise that the plant is removed BEFORE it sets seed.
