FROZEN BLUEBERRY YOGHURT POPS – make these frozen Blueberry Ice Popsicle Lollies for your pup – refreshingly good on a hot day!
Made with fresh Blueberries (which are a superfood) and natural yoghurt these not only taste good – but they are good for your dog!

Here’s what you need:

Ingredients:

Mixing Bowl
Ice Block pop molds
1 cup Plain Yoghurt
1 cup Water
1 cup Fresh Blueberries

Method:

Mix yoghurt and water together in mixing bowl
Add a few blueberries to the inside of each of the ice pop molds
Top up each mold with the yoghurt water mixture
Put tops on molds
Freeze for several hours until frozen solid
Remove from freezer
Dip carefully frozen ice pops into some cold water for a few seconds — this will allow easy removal from the ice pop mold.

Make sure you hold these for your dog to eat as these molds have a plastic stick which will need to be removed.

Darren talks about why pumpkin seeds are such a great snack.How would you like to snack on a simple seed that has so many health benefits that it should not be ignored. Well that seed is pumpkin seeds; a seed with high amounts of certain indispensable nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc and vitamin K, not to mention omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3′s are anti-inflammatory support the cardiovascular and immune systems. Zinc levels are often low in many people and pumpkin seeds are rich in this nutrient.
A study carried out by the University of Valencia in Spain showed that one of the active compounds in pumpkin seeds may provide cancer protection. This is partially because of their anti-inflammatory properties and partially because cucurbitacins have been shown to kill certain types of cancer cells. A German study showed regular consumption of these seeds also lowers breast cancer risk.
Men should be happy to know that pumpkin seeds may also reduce the initial growth and spread of prostate cancer.
The good fats in pumpkin seeds are beneficial in supporting the joints and the hormonal system and have shown in studies an ability to reduce hot flashes and improve moods as well as the fact that its high levels of phytosterols help ameliorate optimal HDL cholesterol levels.
