[What is Ginseng]

In terms of modern scientific research, ginseng is known to be an adaptogen. Adaptogens are substances that assist the body to restore itself to health and work without side effects even if the recommended dose is widely exceeded.

Ginseng due to its adaptogens effects is widely used to lower cholesterol, increase energy and endurance, reduce fatique and effects of stress and prevent infections.

Ginseng is one of the most effective antiaging supplements. It can alleviate some major effects of aging, such as degeneration of the blood system, and increase mental and physical capacity.

Other important benefits of ginseng is its support in cancer treatment and its effects on sports performance.

[Application]

1. Applied in food additives, it owns the effect of antifatigue, anti-aging and nourishing brain;

2. Applied in pharmaceutical field, it is used to treat coronary heart disease, angina cordis, bradycardia and high heart rate arrhythmia, etc.;

3. Applied in cosmetics field, it owns the effect of whitening, dispelling spot, anti-wrinkle, activating skin cells, making skin more tender and firm.

Barley veg soup is a healthy soup and also helps in weight loss. This soup is also good for pregnant womens.

Ingredients:

Green Peas – 1 Tbsp

Carrot – 1 Tbsp

Cabbage – 1 Tbsp

Beans – 1 Tbsp

Cauliflower – 1 Tbsp

Barley – 4 Tbsp.

Onion – 1/2

Garlic – 7 to 8 cloves

Ghee – 1/2 spoon

Jeera (Cummins) – 1 Tsp.

Coriander leaves

Method:

Take Barley 4 Tbsp. and soak it in water for 1 hour. Then cook it in a cooker for about 2 whistles. Chop the above said vegetables and cook it in cooker for 1 whistle. Chop 1/2 onion and chop the garlic gloves. Filter out the water from the barley. Filter out the water from the vegetables too. Separate 2 Tbsp. vegetables and 2 Tbsp. barley and grind it in a mixie as a paste. Now Heat the pan with 1/2 spoon ghee and saute few cummins. Add the onion and garlic saute them well. Then add the vegetables. Add the cooked barley. After a minute add some water. Now add the grinded paste to the sauteed. Add 1/4 Tsp. salt. Add the filtered barley water and vegetable stock water. Mix it well and allow it to boil. Add some salt. Add chopped coriander leaves. The Barley Veg. Soup is ready.
