[Function]

(1) It is a general stimulant to the system, but especially to the urinary organs, and is chiefly used in kidney and liver disorders;

(2) Dandelion is also used as a remedy for hemorrhoids, gout, rheumatism, eczema, other skin conditions, and diabetes.

(3) Dandelion is used to treat chronic ulcers, stiff joints, and tuberculosis. It is also used to induce milk production in nursing mothers and to soothe inflamed breast tissue.

[Pharmacological effects]

[Applications]

This is what I eat when I want to feel light and energetic all day! Usually that comes after I’ve gone a few days eating greasy/unhealthy foods and I’m ready to sort of cleanse my system and get back on track with healthy eating. Plus what’s better than healthy, tasty, vegan food amirite?!?

Breakfast:
1/2 a large watermelon
1/2 a gallon of water

Lunch: Fruity Salad
Slice of cantaloupe
Kombucha
Toss all the following ingredients into a big bowl-
2 mandarine oranges
4-5 strawberries chopped into fourths
A big bowl of spinach (however much you think you can eat)
2-3 leaves of kale
A handful of goji berries
A handful of sprouted pumpkin seeds
Balsamic vinegar
Coco aminos
1 small cucumber

Dinner: Curry Tempeh Salad
1 package of plain tempeh
Onion powder
Garlic Powder
Curry Powder
Garam Masala (optional)
Salt
1/4 of a large onion
2 carrots
2 stalks of celery
1 1/2 tbs maple syrup
black pepper
1/4 juice of a lemon
2 tbs tahini
1 tbs apple cider vinegar

Steam tempeh for 10-15 minutes then mix with spices (to taste). Make the sauce by combining maple syrup, dash of pepper, lemon juice, tahini, and apple cider vinegar. Chop up onion, carrots, and celery. Combine everything together in a bowl. I ate mine on a bed of spinach topped with some pumpkin seeds but you could make a sandwich out of this or eat it as a side dish.
