[Characteristics]

Stevia sugar features high sweetness and low calorie and its sweetness is 200 350  times of that  of cane sugar but its calorie is only 1/300 of that of cane sugar.

The component of stevia extract that gives it its sweetness is a mixture of various steviol glycosides. The components of sweetness in stevia leaves are stevioside, rebaudioside A, C, D, E and dulcoside A. Rebaudioside C, D, E and dulcoside A are small in quantity. The principal components are stevioside and rebaudioside A.

The quality of stevioside and rebaudiosideA is better than those of other components, which are commercially extracted and used in various applications.

The steviol glycosides present in stevia extract are referred to as “steviosides” or ¡°stevia extract¡±. Among these “steviosides”, the most common is Stevioside followed by RebaudiosideA. The Stevioside has a slight and pleasant herbal taste and the Rebaudioside-A has no herbal taste.

Although Rebaudioside C and dulcoside A are small in quantity in stevia extract, they are the major components giving bitter aftertaste.

T. versicolor is the most extensively researched of all the medicinal mushrooms with large scale clinical trials on the T. versicolor extracts: PSK (‘Krestin’) and PSP in a variety of cancers, including Gastric, Oesophageal, Lung, Breast and Colorectal, showing impressive results 1-8.

PSK and PSP are both polysaccharide-protein complexes that are soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol9. PSK contains 34-35% polysaccharide (~92% glucan) and 28-35% protein10.

PSK has been shown to boost immune cell production, ameliorate chemotherapy and radiotherapy side effects, enhance immune status and tumour infiltration by dendritic and cytotoxic cells and significantly extend survival in cancers of the stomach, colon-rectum, oesophagus, nasopharynx, uterus and lung (non-small cell types), and in an HLA B40-positive breast cancer subset in combination with conventional treatment1. In addition to its immune related effects, PSK has shown an ability to enhance superoxidedismutase and glutathione peroxidase activity11,12.

PSP has been shown to significantly enhance immune status in 70-97% of patients with cancer of the stomach, oesophagus, lung, ovary and cervix8.

Although most clinical trials have been conducted with the above proteoglycan extracts, there is also evidence of immunomodulatory action for T. versicolor biomass, with improvements of immune status in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome and enhanced clearance of low grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL) from the cervix.

Nous avons fait une double extraction avec elles pour faire une médecine facilement accessible .. essentiellement i briser les champignons, autant que possible,reduire en poudre puis les mettre dans un bocal et couvrir avec 50/50 eau / grain alchohol, vous pouvez également utiliser la vodka qui est essentiellement 50% eau de toute façon … Verser juste assez pour couvrir les champignons et le secouer une fois par jour pendant 4 semaines … après 4 semaines vous avez une teinture . A partir d’ici je fais un autre extrait avec de l’eau bouillie, appelé une décoction .. i prendre environ hte même quantité de champignons que j’ai utilisé pour le premier processus et les faire bouillir dans 4fois la quantité de liquide que j’ai mis, il suffit d’utiliser de l’eau ordinaire .. faire bouillir jusqu’à ce que vous avez essentiellement la même quantité de décoction que vous avez teinture et laissez-le refroidir, une fois froid ajoutez-le à la teinture et vous avez vous-même une double extraction .. cette façon, vous obtenez les propriétés solubles dans l’eau et ceux Alcool solubles .. j’aime faire mon champignon med extrait cette façon ..

I have made a double extraction with it to make a more readily available medicine…essentially i break up the mushrooms as much as possible, then put them in a jar and cover with 50/50 water/grain alchohol, you can also use vodka. pour just enough to cover the mushrooms and shake it once a day for 4 weeks… after 4 weeks strain and you have whats called a tincture… from here i make another extract using hot water, called a decoction.. i take about hte same amount of mushrooms i used for the first process and boil them in 4times the amount of liquid i have left over after straining(not to boil the alchhool extract careful) just use plain water.. boil it down till you have the same amount of decoction as you have tincture and let it cool, once cool add it to the tincture and you have yourself a double extraction.. this way you get the water soluble properties and the alchohol soluble ones.. this person to do all their med mushroom extracts this way..
