[What is Citrus Aurantium]

Citrus aurantium L, belonging to the family Rutaceae, is widely distributed in China. Zhishi, the Chinese traditional name for Citrus aurantium, has long been a folk medicine in traditional Chinese medicine (TCMto improve indigestion and help stimulate the Qi (energy force).

[Function]

1. Have the function of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hypolipidemic, vasoprotective and anticarcinogenic and cholesterol lowering actions.

2. Have the function of inhibiting following enzymes: Phospholipase A2, lipoxygenase, HMG-CoA reductase and cyclo-oxygenase.

3. Have the function of improving the health of capillaries by reducing the capillary permeability.

4. Have the function of reducing hay fever and other allergic conditions by inhibiting the release of histamine from mast cells. The possible activity of hesperidin could be explained by the inhibition of polyamine synthesis. (bitter orange extract)

PEANUT BUTTER CUP FAT BOMBS – (Michelle Rock)
Nutrition – Calories: 83, Fat: 6.9, Carbs: 2.5, Protein: 2.5, Net Carbs: 1.3

¼ cup Erythritol
3 tbsp natural peanut butter
¾ oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
½ oz. raw cacao butter
4 ml liquid Stevia
Splash pure vanilla extract

1. Grind erythritol to powder – need ¼ cup
2. Roll peanut butter out like dough (in erythritol) into a cylinder shape and cut into 6 even pieces
3. Shape dough to fit in cups (center)
4. Set centers in fridge until needed
5. Chop chocolate up and add cacao butter
6. Melt in microwave in 30 second intervals until melted (add Stevia – the more, the less bitter)
7. Add splash of vanilla
8. Mix all
9. Divide chocolate in half and use half to fill bottoms and sides of cup mold
10. Add peanut butter centers to each mold
11. Pour remainder of chocolate over top of each
12. Hit bottom of mold lightly on surface to settle chocolate
13. Let set in fridge for 30 minutes
14. Pop from molds and enjoy
15. Can store remainder in baggie in fridge
