[What is Pine bark?]

Pine bark, botanical name Pinus pinaster, is a maritime pine native to southwest France that also grows in countries along the western Mediterranean.  Pine bark contains a number of beneficial compounds that are extracted from the bark in a way that doesn’t destroy or damage the tree.

What gives pine bark extract its notoriety as a powerful ingredient and super antioxidant is that it’s loaded with oligomeric proanthocyanidin compounds, OPCs for short. The same ingredient can be found in grape seeds, the skin of peanuts and witch hazel bark. The Chinatown Classic went down at the historical A’ala park on June 6th. The contest started out technical from the get go, with the 13 and under division busting inward heels and smith grinds down the big rail! Kaikea Kimura took the sponsored division by flipping into every ledge and rail trick he day, while also not forgetting to pay respects to the all powerful A’ala park lip! The day ended with a best trick contest which JC 3 won with a switch 360to board! Maui Sam threw down a back 270 to front tail after the contest just to solidify that he’lll be back for the next one!
