Hey guys, Paul from Ultimate Fat Burner.com here and today I’m going to give you 6 tips on how to use creatine effectively. This will ensure you get the most
value and effect from the supplement. I’ll be right back at you in just a couple of seconds, stick around… don’t go anywhere!
Hey, you’re still here! Awesome!
Alright, so let’s get started with our tips…
Tip #1 is the typical cover your ass stuff I have to include; Get some simple blood work done to confirm normal kidney function before starting with creatine. Creatine has been studied in numerous different and vulnerable populations with no ill effects and is probably one of the safest supplements on the market – provided you buy a good quality German-sourced creatine.
However, it is not recommended for people who have issues with kidney function, so it’s a good to confirm that your kidneys are in tip top shape with some simple blood work.
Tip #2: Don’t play around with the dosage, there’s really no benefit in doing so. If you’re under 200 pounds, take 5 grams per day, if you’re over, take 10. You don’t really need to take a loading dose – it’s not necessary. If you want to learn more about a creatine loading phase I’ll include a link to another video
at the end of this one.
Tip #3: Take it every day even if you’re not training. In order for it to work, you must maintain your muscles’ peak saturation levels of creatine, and this is done by taking it each and every day.
Tip #4: Don’t worry too much when you take it – just as long as you take. Most studies don’t differentiate as to when the daily dose is taken, although one small study suggests that creatine taken post workout might lead to slightly better results.
Tip #5: Mixing your creatine with a small amount of grape juice or some simple sugars may increase its uptake – and by “uptake” I mean the amount of creatine that gets absorbed by the body. However, since sugar also spikes insulin levels, I would only recommend mixing your creatine with juice or simple sugars
if you plan on taking it immediately after a workout. Products like the original Cell Tech by Muscle Tech work in a similar fashion, but you can duplicate most of the results of such products by doing this.
Tip #6: Don’t worry too much about regular cycling; creatine has been studied at dosages of up to 10 grams per day for up to 2 years with no ill effects, so while it’s never a bad idea to cycle any supplement, this is not one you have to do every 4-6 weeks or so. You can take creatine for a while.
Alright guys, there you have it; 6 tips on how to use creatine effectively.
