Barley Veg Soup | Weight loss | Pregnancy | Recipe in Tamil | Gowri Samayalarai
Barley veg soup is a healthy soup and also helps in weight loss. This soup is also good for pregnant womens.
Ingredients:
Green Peas – 1 Tbsp
Carrot – 1 Tbsp
Cabbage – 1 Tbsp
Beans – 1 Tbsp
Cauliflower – 1 Tbsp
Barley – 4 Tbsp.
Onion – 1/2
Garlic – 7 to 8 cloves
Ghee – 1/2 spoon
Jeera (Cummins) – 1 Tsp.
Coriander leaves
Method:
Take Barley 4 Tbsp. and soak it in water for 1 hour. Then cook it in a cooker for about 2 whistles. Chop the above said vegetables and cook it in cooker for 1 whistle. Chop 1/2 onion and chop the garlic gloves. Filter out the water from the barley. Filter out the water from the vegetables too. Separate 2 Tbsp. vegetables and 2 Tbsp. barley and grind it in a mixie as a paste. Now Heat the pan with 1/2 spoon ghee and saute few cummins. Add the onion and garlic saute them well. Then add the vegetables. Add the cooked barley. After a minute add some water. Now add the grinded paste to the sauteed. Add 1/4 Tsp. salt. Add the filtered barley water and vegetable stock water. Mix it well and allow it to boil. Add some salt. Add chopped coriander leaves. The Barley Veg. Soup is ready.
