Betty’s Cranberry Cocktail Wieners
Betty demonstrates how to make Cranberry Cocktail Wieners. This appetizer is great for Thanksgiving and also for watching sports events.
Cranberry Cocktail Wieners
½ cup sugar
¾ teaspoon curry powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
14-ounce can jellied cranberry sauce
¼ cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 (13-ounce) packages cocktail wieners (Lit’l Smokies), or hot dogs cut in bite-sized pieces
In a medium to large pot, mix all ingredients together, except cocktail wieners. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add cocktail wieners and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes. Pour into a serving container. These may be placed in a slow cooker and set to “Keep Warm” if served over a few hours. I hope you enjoy this tangy appetizer! Love, –Betty ♥♥♥
