Chemmeen puttu/Kerala Puttu/Prawns Rice Cake
Chemmeen puttu recipe, kerala puttu recipe, prawns puttu.
INGREDIENTS (for making puttu)
1 glass Puttu podi
3/4 glass of water or as per the puttu packet instructions.
1 tsp Grated coconut
to taste Salt
Some extra grated coconut as well.
INGREDIENTS (for initial cooking of prawns)
1/2 kg Prawns
1/4 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
few Curry leaves
pinch Turmeric powder
to taste Salt
1 Kudampuli(Cocum)
little Water
INGREDIENTS(for prawns gravy)
1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
few Curry leaves
1 Dried red chilly
For making Ginger Garlic Paste, blend together 5-6 garlic, a medium sized ginger, 1 green chilly with few drops of coconut oil and few drops of water.
2 medium Onion
1 1/4 tsp Kashmiri Chilly powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Pepper powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1 large Tomato (paste)
make a paste with 1 tsp grated coconut and 2 cashewnuts little amount of water.
a pinch Sugar
to taste Salt
As required Coconut oil
