Cranberry Almond Cream Scones! So Yummy:)

1 large bag or 2 small bags of dried cranberries, (can substitute other dried fruit)
boil 1cup water, turn off heat and let fruit sit in water for ten min. then drain.
3cups flour
3T. sugar
1T. baking powder
1/2t. salt
1/2t. cream of tarter
1/2c. cold butter
combine dry ingredients and cut butter into that until looks like coarse crumbs
separate 1 egg- save the white
combine in small bowl egg yolk, 1/2 cup sour cream, 3/4 cup halfn’half, 11/2 t. almond extract
mix into dry ingredients until soft dough forms
add cranberries, mix until distributed
put onto floured surface and knead only until fully combined 6-8 times
split dough in half, make 2 balls, flatten balls into 6 inch circles and cut into 6 triangles
put on lightly greased cookie sheet
bake at 400 degrees for approximately 20 min. ENJOY!
