We were spelunking in the pantry while clearing the Hewett family home, and discovered some beetroot wine, vintage 1992. Our first thoughts were to throw it out, as generally speaking, unusual home brew wines do not age particularly well. However, knowing it had been in that pantry for over 20 years, we couldn’t let it go unceremoniously without at least a tasting. Results were very surprising.
