The powdered root is blended with olive oil to make an ointment, ranging in texture from smooth lotion to a soft paste. Adjust ratio of powder/oil to change thickness as needed.
Be sure the herb is a fresh as possible, and the oil is high-quality and unadulterated.
Ointment can be stored in glass jars, in a cool dark place, for an extended period of time.
