The recommended dosage is once per day, with each capsule providing 500 milligrams of Curcuma longa or Turmeric Extract content. It is believed that the body needs about this amount per day for the benefits to be realized, a dosage that cannot be achieved from consuming curry flavored dishes.

While consuming turmeric-flavored dishes are great, professionals claim that this is not nearly as advantageous as taking concentrated turmeric curcumin supplements. This is simply because it would take a lot of cooked turmeric in order to get the amount of curcumin necessary on a day-to-day basis to be efficient and cooking destroys a lot of the nutritive value. It should be noted that a recommended day-to-day allowance has not been properly established by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
