What you’ll need to make these energy balls:
• 5 majool dates, remove pits
• 1/3 cup of organic, unsalted pumpkin seeds *
• 1 tsp of chia seeds
• 3 tablespoons of hemp hearts (gives you 10g of protein)
• 2 tablespoons of organic quick oats
• 1 tablespoon of organic raw cocoa powder
• 5 small pieces of dark chocolate
• 1.5 tablespoon of melted/liquid coconut oil

Directions

Remove pits from dates and place them in a blender or food
processor.
Add in pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, hemp hearts, quick oats, cocoa powder and dark chocolate.
Blend for a few minutes or until there are no chunks. I like mine with small chunks but you can blend longer to make sure your mixture is smooth.
Put dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add in your coconut oil and stir until your mixture forms into a big ball.
Start rolling your treats into smaller balls or place flat in a container. I prefer to pick up 1 tbsp worth and roll them into balls.
Place the container in the fridge for approximately 30 minutes before eating.
If you put the content in a pan, take it out of the fridge and cut into smaller squares. This helps with caloric counting and portion control.

*I have substituted pumpkin seeds with raw almonds and that too was delicious. The great thing about pumpkin seeds is that they pack a lot of protein and low calories.
