Ideal Foods that Prevent, Reverse, or Slow Cataracts Progression
Cataract is medical condition in which the lens of the eye become gradually opaque, resulting in blurred, diminished vision. It can affect one or both eyes & often it develops slowly. Please remember that it can be prevented & slowed down if you follow my advice.
WHO indicates that cataracts are the cause of more than half of blindness & 33% of visual impairment worldwide.
Pay attention to the symptoms described below and consult an eye doctor to get an accurate diagnostic.
Make sure you change your daily diet with the foods I recommend here, protect your eyes from direct sunlight & exercise minimum 30 minutes everyday.
Symptoms:
-Cloudy, blurry, dimmed, filmy or yellowed vision.
-Increased difficulty seeing at night.
-Sensitivity to light (lamps, car headlights, sunlight) & glare during the day.
-Halos (rings) appear around light sources.
-Difficulty driving at night.
Difficulty seeing colors.
-Frequent changes in glasses or contact lens prescriptions.
-Double vision (diplopia).
-Yellowish or brown color in your eyes.
Prevention
Antioxidants, Omega-3, vitamins & pigments are the vital nutrients for your visual cells which maintain & protect good eyesight.
Additionally, they prevent and slow the progression of cataracts.
All foods rich in the following are recommended for your eyes:
-Vitamin A & Beta-carotene.
-Vitamin C.
-Lutein & zeaxanthin.
-Omega-3.
-Vitamin D.
-Vitamin E.
-B vitamins, particularly B2 (riboflavin) & B3 (niacin).
Colorful fruits & vegetables, whole grains, fish, and the other foods I mention in this video clip, rich in antioxidant vitamins C, E, B2 & B3,
beta-carotene, lutein & zeaxanthin, phytochemicals, Omega-3 fatty acids decrease the risk of cataracts & slow down its progression.
A diet that includes plenty of fruits & vegetables reduce your risk of cataracts later in life.
Make time and have your eyes checked once a year, exercise regularly, reduce body weight, smoking and alcohol, and you will see better and longer.
