Ingredients
Rice – 1 cup (200 gm)
Thour dhal – 1/4 cup
Karamani (cow peas) – 1/4 cup
Brinjal – 5 (200gm)
Drumstick leaves – 1 cup
Small onions – 20
Garlic cloves – 8
Tomato – 1 large
Red chilly – 6
Sambar powder – 1and 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Rasam powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt, oil, mustard seeds, jeera asfotida, ghee
Steps
Soak karamani for 8 hours. Soak rice for 1 hour. Soak Thour dhal for 15 minutes.
Boil 1 glass of water in a cooker, add Karamani, And boil it for 3 minutes. Add Thour dhal and again boil it for 5 minutes.
In 4 spoon of oil fry little mustard seeds, jeera, asfotida, red chilly. Add onions, garlic and fry for a minute, add tomato and mix well, add Brinjal, drumstick leaves, all powders and mix well. Keep aside.
Now in cooker add 2 glasses of water, when it boils add rice, all sauted things and salt. Cook for 2 whistles.
Open add a tbs of ghee and mix well.
