Molisch test is a test for carbohydrate or compounds which can be dehydrated to furfural or furfural derivatives in the presence of the concentrated sulphuric acid (H2SO4). This video lesson will demonstrate the test procedure. The objective of this test is to describe the Molisch’s Test and its biochemical basis.
