How to Make a DIY Candy Cane Coffee Syrup
RECIPE:
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
3 cups fresh peppermint leaves
1/4 vanilla bean
1.5 TB cocoa powder
pinch of salt
Steep peppermint + vanilla in sugar + water on low heat, covered, for 30 minutes 1 hour. Strain. Add cocoa and a pinch of salt for a candy cane mocha!
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one month. Makes a great homemade gift!
