Approximately 5,000 upgrades to our system are scheduled every year to improve the reliability of our electric grid. When we make these upgrades we need to shut off the power temporarily. We realize an outage is inconvenient, but it can help prevent real problems in the future.
If your electricity service will be affected, you’ll be notified by letter in advance. Occasionally, our crews encounter unexpected conditions while performing routine maintenance. This means a planned outage may last longer. Planned outages may also be cancelled due to weather or other reasons.
