Simple egg-free writing & outlining icing (Royal icing substitute)
I never bother making royal icing to pipe fine lines and words. Here’s what I do instead, no egg, no fuss, 30 seconds and you’re good to go. I also show how I make my cellophane piping cones which are so much easier to both make and use than parchment cones. I can get a perfect tip every time, and just cut to the size I need.
Note: this icing may start to separate or dry up in the cone, just like royal icing, over time. Best made just when you need it and used fresh.
