Thought to be one of the first plants to be cultivated in the US, sunflower seeds are famously good for the skin but they’re more than just a look good hack! In this video I’ll be discussing the top 5 health benefits of sunflower seeds!
1. Good for the heart. Sunflower seeds are high in phytosterols which reduce high LDL cholesterol and helps to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Being high in vitamin E, which is effective for reducing inflammation.
2. The selenium in sunflower seeds are good for the thyroid.
3. Bones! The magnesium and copper are 100% necessary for bone strength. There are also studies that have concluded that vitamin E can reduce certain arthritic pain.
4. It’s not a myth, sunflower seeds are good for the skin and help skin look healthier and more youthful by improving skin strength. It’s also effective at protecting the skin in harsh conditions and against the sun.
5. Due to the magnesium in sunflower seeds, they’re an effective way to calm the nerves and keep stress at bay.
