Bloating indicates that your small intestine is not clearing properly of waste. The many symptoms of it include: tightness around your stomach, you may feel full or belch out air. Use following remedies to alleviate it in less time:

• Lessen bloating with fennel seeds

The carminative and diuretic properties of fennel seeds help in digestion and soothe pain. Seeds lessen gas in the intestines and prevent water retention in the body. Fennel seeds relieve bloating and relax tightening around the digestive tract.

• After a hearty meal chew on a teaspoon of fennel seeds.
• Drink fennel tea two to three times a day. Soak one teaspoon of fennel seeds into one cup of hot water for 10 minutes. Strain the seeds and drink the tea.

• Smooth muscles with peppermint

Bloating elevates tightening in the gastrointestinal tract, bile duct, and gallbladder. The menthol oil present in peppermint, calms gas build up, relaxes muscles and helps in digestion quickly.

• Chew on peppermint leaves for instant relief.
• Immerse peppermint tea bag in hot water for five minutes and drink it.

• Less swelling with ginger

Ginger can curb bloating. Ingredients like gingerols and shogaols aid to cut swelling in the intestines.

• Ginger tea is really healthy not only to improve upset stomach but also in cough and flu. Drink ginger tea three to five times in a day to loosen intestinal muscles.
• You can also use freshly grated ginger root along with your meal. It will help to digest the food.
• Even 0.25 to 1 gram of powdered ginger root benefits to adults.

• No more bloating with chamomile tea

Chamomile leaves give a calm effect to tense muscles. It lessens bloating stops swelling of the muscles. It is beneficial in heartburn too.

• Put chamomile tea in a cup and pour hot water over it. For taste you can add lemon juice and honey.
• Try to drink it sip by sip and slowly. Use this tea three to four times in between your meals.

Pumpkin relieves bloating due to large amount vitamin A, potassium and fibre. It helps in digestion and seizes gas build up. Pumpkin can be used in a variety of ways. You can boil, broil, steam it or make soup of it.

• Activated Charcoal for bloating

Not very common but effective to let water or air pass through due to holes in activated charcoal. It is available as a tablet, capsule, or powder to kill bacteria. Follow your doctor’s advice on the amount you should be taking.

• Lemon drops in warm water

Lemons are rich in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants. Whether to fight free radicals or prevent bloating, lemons help in many ways for your health. Lemons have vitamins B and C, riboflavin, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, proteins, carbohydrates and acid to help in breaking down food. Squeeze lemon to your green tea or into just warm water and get rid of constipation and bloating. It detoxifies your systems and flushes all the toxins to make your feel light.
