Hello Everyone ! My brassicas got literally swarmed by the green caterpillars which came out from small white butterfly eggs.
There is not much I can do against such numbers of pests so decided to use Diatomaceous Earth and it worked really well !
In this episode I will tell you how I used DE and also what are the bad things about this product.
Also at the end I will mention how I plan to avoid caterpillars infestation next year.

In short benefits and bad things about this product:

GOOD:

- natural source
- kill wide variety of insects and deter slugs
- relatively cheap
- works in 48-72 hours

BAD

- when inhaled in large quantities can cause breathing problems and hardening of lungs
- kills also beneficial insects
- can be easily washed by rain
- not sustainable – the rock is formed for millions of years
