Vegetable Biryani
Ingredients for Veg Biryani
2 cups cooked rice (long grain basmati rice)
1 cup cauliflower cut into florets
1/2 cup thinly cut green beans
1/2 cup green peas
2 thinly cut carrots
1 thinly cut potato
2 medium sized onion finely sliced
1 large tomato chopped
3 tsp biryani masala
1/2 cup yogurt
2 tsp coriander & cumin powder
2 tsp red chilly powder
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/4 turmeric powder
whole garam masala (4 cloves, 4 green cardamon &1″ cinnamon stick)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp chopped mint
2 tbsp chopped cilantro/coriander leaves
fried onions to garnish (optional)
few saffron strings soaked in 1 tbsp of milk (optional)
few cashews (optional)
