What’s for Dinner?! ~ Broccoli, Mushrooms, & Rice
Happy Tuesday! Today I made a simple dinner of broccoli and mushrooms on top of lots of white rice!
Ingredients:
1 bag of frozen broccoli
1 small can of mushrooms
Seasonings (I chose garlic and onion powders, but use whatever you like)
Sugar (just a pinch or two)
1-2 tbsp Gluten free, low sodium soy sauce
3 cups of white rice
Directions:
1. Cook rice according to directions
2. Cook can of mushrooms on medium high heat in juices from can and 1 tbsp soy sauce, if you choose to use it
3. Steam the broccoli (either the stove method or in the microwave, depending on the bagged broccoli that you buy) while the mushrooms begin to cook
4. Season mushrooms with garlic and onion powders
5. Add cooked broccoli to the pan along with more seasonings (if you’d like), sugar, and 1 tbsp of soy sauce
6. Continuously stir both the rice and broccoli.
6. Let mushrooms and broccoli cook together until browning and the juices are almost gone
7. Serve on top of the rice
8. Eat!
