Фруктоза: именно в этой форме углеводы содержатся в ягодах и фруктах. Однако оттуда благодаря клетчатке она всасывается медленно и превращается печенью в глюкозу. Рафинированная же фруктоза превращается в жир. Диабетикам она противопоказана. Сорбит: природный заменитель сахара, обладает желчегонным действием, хороший консервант. Но он втрое менее сладкий и в полтора раза более калорийный, чем сахар, и обладает слабительным эффектом. Ксилит: не приводит к кариесу, но вызывает метеоризм и диарею. Ксилита много в жевательной резинке, поэтому ее любители страдают “необъяснимой” диареей. Мед: сильный аллерген, высококалориен и обладает специфическим вкусом.

Стевиозид: вырабатывается из растения стевия, в 25 раз слаще сахара, не разрушается при нагревании (можно использовать в кулинарии), имеет очень низкую калорийность и обладает сахароснижающим действием. Негативных свойств не выявлено, он рекомендован диабетикам. Стевию можно вырастить дома в горшке и класть в еду листочки.
