[What is Epimedium?]

Epimedium extract is a popular aphrodisiac supplement and herbal sexual performance enhancer.It has a long history of traditional use in China for the alleviation of erectile dysfunction and for improving libido and fertility.

Also known as Horny Goat Weed, this supplement supposedly got its name after a farmer noticed that his flock of goats were particularly aroused after eating flowers of a specific type. These Epimedium flowers contain icariin, which is a natural compound that increases blood flow to sexual organs and promotes sex drive. Icariin has been found to increase Nitric Oxide synthesis as well as inhibiting the activity of the PDE-5 enzyme

[Icariin in Epimedium Extract]

Epimedium extracts powder contain an active phytochemical called icariin.Icariin has been observed to exhibit a number of useful traits, including renoprotective (liver protecting) hepatoprotective (kidney protecting), cardioprotective (heart protecting) and neuroprotective (brain protecting) effects.

It is also an antioxidant and can cause vasodilation. It exhibits antimicrobial characteristics and is thought to act as an aphrodisiac.

Icariin is classified as a flavonol glycoside, which is a type of flavonoid. Specifically, icariin is the 8-prenyl derivation of kaempferol 3,7-O-diglucoside, a prevalent and important flavonoid.

Health organizations have started to advise that eggs might increase cholesterol and you might have heard of this propaganda. They also said avocado and coconut oil are too fatty too and are not really good for us. But, recently was said that this is a lie and it is the opposite. These foods are good for us and you will read why.
One egg has 186 mg cholesterol and the liver can generate up to 2000 mg cholesterol daily. If you eat a lot of cholesterol foods the liver will adjust to this and eggs are not a threat for the health. They are healthy fat type of food!
This is why eggs are good for you:
1. Nutrients
They have vitamins B6, A and E, also thiamin, folate, riboflavin, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, selenium and more.
2. Cholesterol
Eggs have cholesterol but it is the good HDL one that is not dangerous. And they make you produce more vitamin D and hormones like estrogen, testosterone and cortisol too. The good HDL cholesterol does not clog arteries and vessels and cleans them. Also, it prevents atherosclerosis and cardio issues. Also, there won’t be any bad cholesterol.
3. Choline
You heard of choline or not? It is vital nutrient for the brain work and the memory. It is a precursor of a neurotransmitter acetylcholine and important for pregnant women since it prevents abnormal fetus developing. Up to 90% Americans lack this choline and that is why they have damage to muscles and non-alcoholic liver fatty issues.
4. Good vision
Eggs are crucial for this because they have lutein and zeaxanthin and these lower risk of macular degeneration with aging and keep UV damage away from the eyes. The carotenoids also lower risk of developing cataract up to even 50%!
5. Food for muscles
The egg is great protein source and 2 eggs are the same as meat portion with just less acidity and fats. A lot of diets require only egg whites but the yolk is also healthy since it has 50% of the proteins.
6. Food for bones
The egg has a load of vitamin D and calcium which are the best for healthy bones. The vitamin D makes absorption of calcium easier and the calcium is good for proper blood clots, signals in nerves and contraction of muscles.
7. Weight loss
You think eggs are not good for weight loss? You are wrong. Eggs make you feel full longer time. And they have not many calories so they are great for a diet. Studies from the Journal of American College of Nutrition and also the International Journal of Obesity said eggs for breakfast means less cravings during the day. And you lose weight and fat tissues too.
