[What is Pine bark?]

Pine bark, botanical name Pinus pinaster, is a maritime pine native to southwest France that also grows in countries along the western Mediterranean.  Pine bark contains a number of beneficial compounds that are extracted from the bark in a way that doesn’t destroy or damage the tree.

Pick a bowl full of dandelion leaves.
It’s best to pick your dandelion leaves and flowers in the spring, while the plant is sending all it’s nutrients to the leaves and producing flowers. In the fall it’s time to dig the roots.
Fill the bowl of dandelion leaves with water, to clean off the dirt and such.
Repeat several times, until the water is clear.
Rinse one more time in a strainer.
Then lay them on a dehydrator tray.
Place the mesh over them or use a sheet.
Dehydrate at 90-95 degrees for 4-8 hours depending on how much humidity is in the air.
The leaves will feel very dry, you do not want to feel any moisture in the leaves and they will be crunchy.
Crush leaves by hands or but in a blender, after they have cooled.
Store the dandelion leaves in a glass jar.
Use 1 or more teaspoons of leaves per cup of boiling water, let leaves steep for 5 to 10 minutes.
Add sweetener if you like or other herbs.
