[What is Acai berry]

The south American Acai palm(Euterpe oleracea)-known as the tree of life in Brazil-provides a small berry which is growing in fame, particularly following recent studies by well-known herbalists and naturopaths that have categorised it as a “superfood”. Acai berries are extremely rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. The acai berry is also famous for its capacity to support dieting, protect the skin, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and prevent the development of certain types of cancer.

While there are many different berry and fruit juices on the market, Acai contains the most complete array of vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids. Acai contains Vitamin B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin),

Me encanta el Matcha latte porque ofrece muchos beneficios para la salud. El té verde Matcha es un té de alta calidad, el más potente como fuente de nutrientes y proteínas y aún más rico en antioxidantes (polifenoles) que el té verde convencional. Además contiene otro polifenol llamado EGCG que ha demostrado acelerar el metabolismo y reducir el crecimiento de las células cancerígenas.

Contiene cafeína. Como estás consumiendo directamente el polvo de la hoja esto supone ingerir tres veces más cafeína que con un té convencional. Los aficionados al matcha lo usan normalmente para desayunar y comparan sus efectos con el subidón del café de por la mañana. Y aunque sus defensores también hablan de que crea un efecto dual alarma-calma no se recomienda beberlo en las seis horas previas al descanso nocturno.

Se relaciona con la meditación. La preparación del matcha es uno de los rituales más importantes de la ceremonia japonesa del té y durante mucho tiempo se ha asociado al estado Zen. La ceremonia de preparación del matcha induce un estado de relajación que sirve como preparación para empezar a meditar.

Su sabor es fuerte y las versiones edulcoradas no tienen la misma calidad. El sabor del matcha es parecido al de la hierba o al de una hoja de espinaca. A otros les recuerda el sabor umami (vocablo japonés que significa ‘sabroso’). Para mejorar su sabor fuerte han salido al mercado versiones con polvos mezclados con azúcar, con chocolate o con leche. Ninguna mezcla es recomendable porque se alteran las cualidades de la planta. Una buena pista para saber si el matcha que compras es auténtico es su precio. El matcha puro y fresco es caro.

Se puede incorporar a las comidas. El matcha está de moda y no solo como una bebida, muchos chefs de prestigio lo han incluido en sus platos. De hecho, ya es posible encontrar en la Red y las redes sociales recetas de bizcochos, brownies o incluso sopas de matcha.

Para la base del pastel crudivegano:

1. un paquete de coco ralllado
2. Arándanos o pasas deshidratadas
3. Un poco de leche vegetal
4. Mix de semillas

Mezclar todo en un bol y lo ponéis en un molde, lo presionáis que quede uniforme y lo ponéis al congelador para que quede solido y duro, así podéis poner la crema de matcha ecnima.

Para la crema de Matcha necesitáis:

1. Matcha en polvo
2. Stevia o agave
3. Crema de leche de arroz
4. Agar Agar
5. Un poco de leche vegetal

Ponéis todos los ingredientes en un cazo hasta hervir, pasar la batidora o la tourmix para que no queden grumos.

Dejar enfriar 10 minutos y lo ponéis en el molde , y lo volvéis a introducir al congelador hasta que quede un pastel solido y duro. Luego lo podéis reposar en la nevera.
