Grapes (Vitis vinifera) have been heralded for their medicinal and nutritional value for thousands of years. Egyptians ate grapes a very long time back, and several ancient Greek philosophers spoke about the healing power of grapes — usually in the form of wine. European folk healers made an ointment from the sap of grapevines to treat skin and eye diseases. Grape leaves were used to stop bleeding, inflammation, and pain, such as the kind brought on by hemorrhoids. Unripe grapes were used to treat sore throats, and dried grapes (raisins) were used for constipation and thirst. Round, ripe, sweet grapes were used to treat a range of health problems including cancer, cholera, smallpox, nausea, eye infections, and skin, kidney, and liver diseases.
Grape seed extracts are industrial derivatives from whole grape seeds that have a great concentration of vitamin E, flavonoids, linoleic acid and phenolic OPCs. The typical commercial opportunity of extracting grape seed constituents has been for chemicals known as polyphenols having antioxidant activity in vitro.
Cataract is medical condition in which the lens of the eye become gradually opaque, resulting in blurred, diminished vision. It can affect one or both eyes & often it develops slowly. Please remember that it can be prevented & slowed down if you follow my advice.
WHO indicates that cataracts are the cause of more than half of blindness & 33% of visual impairment worldwide.
Pay attention to the symptoms described below and consult an eye doctor to get an accurate diagnostic.
Make sure you change your daily diet with the foods I recommend here, protect your eyes from direct sunlight & exercise minimum 30 minutes everyday.
-Cloudy, blurry, dimmed, filmy or yellowed vision.
-Increased difficulty seeing at night.
-Sensitivity to light (lamps, car headlights, sunlight) & glare during the day.
-Halos (rings) appear around light sources.
-Difficulty driving at night.
Difficulty seeing colors.
-Frequent changes in glasses or contact lens prescriptions.
-Double vision (diplopia).
-Yellowish or brown color in your eyes.
Antioxidants, Omega-3, vitamins & pigments are the vital nutrients for your visual cells which maintain & protect good eyesight.
Additionally, they prevent and slow the progression of cataracts.
All foods rich in the following are recommended for your eyes:
-Vitamin A & Beta-carotene.
-Lutein & zeaxanthin.
-B vitamins, particularly B2 (riboflavin) & B3 (niacin).
Colorful fruits & vegetables, whole grains, fish, and the other foods I mention in this video clip, rich in antioxidant vitamins C, E, B2 & B3,
beta-carotene, lutein & zeaxanthin, phytochemicals, Omega-3 fatty acids decrease the risk of cataracts & slow down its progression.
