Before the white man medicine came into existence, herbs, tree roots and leaves were some of the things used as medicine to cure sickness. It is popularly known as ‘Agbo’ (herbal medicine) in Nigeria.

BattaBox presenter Timothy interviews this interesting Herbal Medicine (Agbo) seller, who sells different types of Agbo and jedi jedi medicine to solve all sorts of sexual problems, back aches and many other ailments.

Most of the herbs have been given funny names with deep Yoruba meanings like – Mawoboniran , Sobonton, Ponkriyon, Tiroboye etc

“Any man who uses ‘Sobonton’ , his manhood would be active,” says the Agbo seller

What particularly makes her unique is her style of marketing and how she sells and explains her products in a funny manner. Although she couldn’t speak English but her Yoruba spoke volumes.

“The penis is a car wash to the vagina,” she explains in Yoruba

A lot of people today still do not believe in western medicine but would take Agbo instead in case of any ailment.

“All her herbs are working perfectly,” says one transporter who drinks the agbo regularly

I wanted to make Miso Corn Ramen but corn is not in season anymore.
I chose bean sprouts and green onion as vegetables ingredients but actually you could use any vegetables you like.

Ingredients:

for the ramen noodles:
200g bread flour
100g water
10g baking soda
tapioca starch(or any kind of starch powder)

for the soup:
800g water
50g miso
2 shiitake mushroom
1 clove garlic
1 tsp broad bean paste
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp sweetener
1 tsp salt(I didn’t show this in the video but this is the most important ingredient)

200g bean sprouts
50g green onion
some thinly sliced dried chili pepper

Instructions:

1. bring baking soda water to a boil, then mix with bread flour
2. knead well with pasta machine and make it into noodles.
3. put all the ingredients for the soup and simmer gently.
4. boil ramen noodles for 1 minute
5. put everything together in a large bowl

水　100g
重曹　10g
タピオカ澱粉　適量

スープ
水　800g
味噌　50g
乾燥しいたけ　2つ
にんにく　1つ
豆板醤　小さじ1
ココナッツオイル　大さじ1
甘味料　大さじ1
塩　小さじ1

もやし　200g
ねぎ　50g
糸唐辛子　適量

「作り方」

１、水と重曹を混ぜ、沸騰させます。強力粉を加えます。
２、よく捏ねてからパスタマシンを使い、麺状に切ります。麺は切ったらタピオカ澱粉などを全体にまぶしてくっつかないようにしておきます。
３、スープの材料を全て混ぜ、ゆっくり煮ます。
４、中華麺を１分ほど茹でます。
５、もやしや白髪ねぎ、糸唐辛子など好みの具材を盛り付けて完成です。
