[What is Acai berry]

The south American Acai palm(Euterpe oleracea)-known as the tree of life in Brazil-provides a small berry which is growing in fame, particularly following recent studies by well-known herbalists and naturopaths that have categorised it as a “superfood”. Acai berries are extremely rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. The acai berry is also famous for its capacity to support dieting, protect the skin, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and prevent the development of certain types of cancer.

1) Daun Insulin/Daun Yakon/ Yaccon Leaves (Smallanthus sonchifolius)

It is the main component in Ekstrak Yaccon Plus.

Preclinical trials determine SCIENTIFIC effect that Yakon leaves (Daun Insulin):
• Assist Lowering Blood Sugar – The fluid in the plant works very much like insulin. Significantly increase the concentration of insulin in plasma. Decrease blood sugar levels up to 72% in just 20 days. Safe for consumption. Yacon is naturally low-calorie; it is diet food and diabetic food.
• Help Improve pancreatic beta cells, up to 90%

The leaves contain a compound called melampolide. It is sesquiterpene lactones which have the benefit of inhibiting the formation of nitric oxide (NO).
