1. Choline bitartate

จัดอยู่ในกลุ่มของวิตามินบีรวม มีความสามารถผ่านเข้าสู่สมองได้โดยตรง ซึ่งโคลีนเป็นสารตั้งต้นหลักในการสังเคราะห์สารสื่อประสาทที่มีชื่อว่า Acetylcholine ซึ่งเป็นสารสื่อประสาทสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความจำและการเรียนรู้ จึงเรียกได้ว่ามีบทบาทในพัฒนาการด้านการเรียนรู้ โดยเฉพาะระบบความจำ รวมถึงมีการศึกษาในการใช้เพื่อป้องกันและรักษาโรคความจำเสื่อม (Alzheimer’s disease) อีกด้วย

2. Ginkgo biloba (ใบแปะก๊วย)

ช่วยกระตุ้นการสร้าง prostacyclin และกระตุ้นการหลั่ง nitric oxide ซึ่งมีผลทำให้เกิดการคลายตัวของกล้ามเนื้อหลอดเลือด ยับยั้งการเกาะกลุ่มของเกร็ดเลือด ช่วยเพิ่มการหมุนเวียนเลือดที่สมอง ทำให้มีก๊าซออกซิเจนและอาหารไปเลี้ยงสมองเพิ่มมากขึ้น

3. Goji berry extract โกจิเบอร์รี่ หรือ เก๋ากี้

มีฤทธิ์ต้านอนุมูลอิสระสูง ช่วยกระตุ้นการสร้างสารโคลีน (choline) ซึ่งเป็นสารตั้งต้นหลักในการสังเคราะห์สารสื่อประสาทที่มีชื่อว่า Acetylcholine ซึ่งเป็นสารสื่อประสาทสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความจำและการเรียนรู้ จึงมีผลช่วยเสริมความจำให้ดีขึ้นอีกด้วย

5. L – carnitine

เป็นกรดอะมิโนชนิดหนึ่ง มีบทบาทสำคัญในการผลิต Acetylcholine ซึ่งมีส่วนสำคัญสำหรับการทำงานของเซลล์สมองและเส้นประสาท มีคุณสมบัติเฉพาะต่อสมองและเซลล์สมองโดยตรง ช่วยปกป้องอาการสมองเสื่อมที่เกิดจากความชรา (Dementia) ช่วยเรื่องความจำ สมาธิ เพิ่มการผลิตพลังงานในสมอง ปกป้องเซลล์ประสาทจากสารพิษ อนุมูลอิสระ และช่วยรักษาสภาพตัวรับสารสื่อประสาทได้อีกด้วย

จะได้สารสกัดกลุ่มไบโอฟลาโวนอยด์ (Bioflavonoid) โดยตัวที่สำคัญที่สุดคือ Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins หรือ OPCs ซึ่งมีคุณสมบัติที่สำคัญในการเป็นสารต้านอนุมูลอิสระประสิทธิภาพสูง เป็นสารที่มีโมเลกุลเล็ก ละลายน้ำได้ดี ทำให้เดินทางแทรกซึมไปได้ทั่วร่างกาย และยังผ่านเข้าสมองได้ จึงเข้าไปขัดขวางการทำลายเซลล์สมองจาก free radical ได้โดยตรง นอกจากนี้ยังช่วยเพิ่มการไหลเวียนของเลือด และเพิ่มความแข็งแรงให้กับหลอดเลือดที่สมอง
