.This salad khichdi is very special for summers .This recipe is very simple to cook this is a spicy variation of the simple khichdi. It is very healthy and the ultimate Indian comfort food prepared using rice and lentils

Ingredients

rice……………..1 cup
lentils. ………….1/2 cup
oil……………………2 tbsp
cumin seeds……..1/2 tsp
, slice,chopped onion …….1
ginger ,garlic paste 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder……..1/4 tsp
red chilly powder ……….1/2 tsp
salt to taste

FOR SALAD

onion……….1 chopped
cucumber……….1 chopped
tomato…………….1 chopped
coriander …………chopped 1 tbsp
lemon……………1

Directions:

Soak the rice and masoor dal, in separate bowls for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan add slice chopped onion & jeera (cumin seeds) fry it till the onion is brown add all dry ginger ,garlic paste salt ,red chilly powder , turmeric powder. cook this till raw flavor is gone.After that add rice &masoor daal add 3 glass of water put the lid on and cook it till rice is done at last add salad and serve hot with lemon.
