[What is Epimedium?]

Epimedium extract is a popular aphrodisiac supplement and herbal sexual performance enhancer.It has a long history of traditional use in China for the alleviation of erectile dysfunction and for improving libido and fertility.

Also known as Horny Goat Weed, this supplement supposedly got its name after a farmer noticed that his flock of goats were particularly aroused after eating flowers of a specific type. These Epimedium flowers contain icariin, which is a natural compound that increases blood flow to sexual organs and promotes sex drive. Icariin has been found to increase Nitric Oxide synthesis as well as inhibiting the activity of the PDE-5 enzyme

Epimedium extracts powder contain an active phytochemical called icariin.Icariin has been observed to exhibit a number of useful traits, including renoprotective (liver protecting) hepatoprotective (kidney protecting), cardioprotective (heart protecting) and neuroprotective (brain protecting) effects.

It is also an antioxidant and can cause vasodilation. It exhibits antimicrobial characteristics and is thought to act as an aphrodisiac.

Icariin is classified as a flavonol glycoside, which is a type of flavonoid. Specifically, icariin is the 8-prenyl derivation of kaempferol 3,7-O-diglucoside, a prevalent and important flavonoid.

The Garden of Life: Juicing for the Cure

If you have been following my blogs or video documentaries, I shared how my children were dealing with the skin condition call eczema. I shared how severe the condition was and how I’ve been back and forth with many different medications to “control” the issue. After many attempts of using the doctors medicine, I have come to the conclusion that it was time for an alternative way to CURE the eczema!

This video is pretty simple, but you may find it fascinating none the less. Bees are such amazing creatures (insects), that go through metamorphosis, take on many roles in the relatively short life span, and manage to create so many useful natural and fully beekeeping products like bees wax, propolis, and raw honey. This video shows the many different types and colours of beeswax you can remove from your beehives. The colours range form perfectly clean and very fresh snow white to dark and almost black brood comb. The older it is, the darker it usually gets. Take a look. It is worth noting, that beeswax has many uses, and we will elaborate on these in our future videos, but one of its main applications is off course in aroma therapy and candle making, as well as cosmetics. It is an essential ingredient that is , natural, and if collected and processed by a mindful beekeeper, many have indicated that it may also possess healing properties. The perfectly clean and white piece of burr comb, or wax cappings are the most valuable type of beeswax and it is used primarily by the cosmetics industry.
