[Function]

Resveratrol is an active component extracted from Huzhang (Polygonum cuspidatum) in China.

It is an antioxidant phenol and a potent vasodilator that inhibits serum triglyceride synthesis, lipid peroxidation, and platelet aggregation.

It is extensively used for treatment of blood vessel disease such as atherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia. In addition, it has anti-virus and anti inflammatory activity, can treat acute microbial infections and viral hepatitis.

There are ways to prevent macular degeneration — and even successfully treat early phases of macular degeneration. Turmeric mask:
½ teaspoon honey
½ teaspoon turmeric
few drops lemon/oil/yoghurt

Mix and apply on face. Let sit for 15-20 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. You may have to use a facecleanser and wash it off twice to get rid of yellow stains on face.

KEEP IN MIND: Some people may be allergic to turmeric. I recommend you to always make a test on a small spot before you put it on the rest of the face.
